Joi AI uses Neurons as its in-app currency. Neurons let you unlock features not covered by your subscription—like reading romantic or explicit messages, viewing photos or videos, and generating extra images. Free accounts get a limited set of lifetime image generations; after that, or for advanced options, you'll need Neurons. Here’s a quick overview:

You can top up by buying Neuron packs—the bigger the pack, the better the per-unit rate. Your Neuron balance is always visible in the top-right corner of the site.

You can use Joi AI for free with a Basic account, but many features are limited. To unlock Premium access, you’ll need a subscription. Exact prices for Premium plans and Neuron packs are only shown after you sign up, and may differ by country, subscription length, character, or promotions. Here’s what you can expect:

Accepted payment options

Joi AI supports several payment methods. Some of these, like prepaid cards, may not auto-renew, so you’ll need to manually renew your subscription if you use them. Here’s a summary:

Charges will appear as “joi.com” on your bank statement. If your payment fails, some banks may require you to authorise the transaction.

How to cancel Joi AI

Joi AI Premium subscriptions auto-renew by default, but you can cancel anytime in your account settings. Just go to Settings > My Subscriptions and follow the prompts. Once cancelled, your Premium access stays active until the end of your paid period, then your account returns to Basic. If a renewal payment isn’t completed within 7 days, your account will also be downgraded. Refunds are generally only available for specific cases like accidental Neuron purchases, proven fraud, or if Joi ends your subscription for reasons unrelated to rule violations.

Monthly or yearly?

Joi AI offers Premium subscriptions in monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual terms. Monthly plans give you the most flexibility to stop and start as you need. Yearly and longer-term plans usually cost less per month, but require a bigger upfront commitment. All Premium plans refresh their benefits on the same day each month, and any unused benefits roll over to the next month—even with yearly billing.

Cost for light and heavy users

Your spending on Joi AI depends on how you use it:

• Chatting with basic features only: stays free
• Occasional romantic or explicit messages: occasional Neuron top-ups
• Frequent photo or video viewing: regular Neuron packs needed
• Heavy use of image/video generation: higher Neuron spend
• Premium plan users: more features unlocked, but still pay Neurons for extras
• Light roleplay-only users: can keep costs low with Basic or minimal Neuron use

If you just want to chat and try a few features, you might never need to pay. For more advanced or frequent content, a Premium plan and Neuron packs may be worthwhile.
